Mr. Porreca represented a man in Sparta Municipal Court charged with Domestic Violence Simple Assault under N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(a). This client allegedly slapped his wife in the face during an argument. After discussing the matter with the prosecutor and the victim, the case was listed for a “administrative carry” for a period of 60 days. As there were no more problems between the parties, this case was dismissed after 60 days at the second court appearance and the defendant granted an immediate expungement.
